The Alta XS Tracer-Blocker:

• processes plastic, high index, polycarbonate and most lens materials automatically
• offers automatic process controls for fragile and slippery hydrophobic lenses
• offers five bevel presets and advanced bevel processing controls
• allows easy adjustment of the bevel "v" curve and its front/rear placement
• drills and grooves rimless lenses, with 5 adjustable groove width and depth options
• auto-tilts up to 30 degrees to groove, drill and safety bevel high base curves
• safety bevels front and/or rear, with 4 adjustable presets
• polishes with a high luster finish
• features a large, HD color touch screen with customizable settings for operator
   ease of use

Differences vs Alta XL:
Two key differences between the Alta XS system and the top-of-the-line Alta XL are found on the tracer-blocker. 1) The Alta XS has 4-D tracing which measures height, width, curvature and thickness. The Alta XL adds a fifth dimension (5-D tracing), measuring the frame bevel angle to further enhance precise frame fit. 2) The Alta XS requires the operator to read lens power with a lensmeter and to manually identify the optical center, bifocal segment and progressive markings - steps requiring greater optical skills. In contrast, the Alta XL performs all these functions automatically.
