Briot Link^TM is a unique remote servicing system which connects the ALTA unit to our technical platform via the remote network. Briot Link^TM Remote Servicing is a new generation of services which enable you to make the most of your workshop and of your preventive maintenance program. It is especially useful in anticipating and managing servicing visits effectively.
COMFORT AND EASE OF USE
Briot has designed the Alta XS layout/blocking system with attention to even the smallest details, making it a pleasure to use. An ergonomic, antifatigue "soft touch" hand rest has been included to ensure maximum comfort: your hand is naturally positioned for precise, faster centering.
Magic Blue
Lens illumination adjusts itself automatically according to the shape of the lens and the external lighting, ensuring maximum centering accuracy.
OPERATOR INTERFACE
A large high-resolution touch screen gives quick access to all system functions. The screen features easy to understand pictograms.
OPTICAL SYSTEM
The high accuracy of the optical system, together with the screen zoom function, makes precise centering simple. The video system refreshes frequently which guarantees a stable and fluid image.
TRENDS
The system is adaptable for both current and future frame designs. Two shape recording methods are available:
- The Scanform^TM tracing unit for traditional frames. Shape capture and analysis of frame dimensions.
- Briot's exclusive imaging software PROS^TM for grooved and drilled frames. Automatic recognition of the shape and position of holes.
LIBRARY
Use of the data base (2048 patterns and 512 jobs) is easy and instantaneous. The increasingly wide choice of frames available has made this innovative and effective system essential. Frames most frequently sold by the store are grouped in a top 20.
CUSTOMIZATION
DIGIFORM software, a Briot innovation, is integrated into the Alta XS. It allows adjustment of the circumference, height and width of shapes so that you can modify progressive lenses in the best possible way.
EDGING
We have optimized the edging speeds of the Alta, to give you 3 cycles corresponding to 3 types of lenses: hydrophobic lenses, very thin fragile lenses and standard lenses.
4 edging wheels (Ø 90 mm - 3.5 in) have been developed for high curvature lenses and new materials such as Trivex^TM.

The Alta pushes back the limits of edging technology, while optimizing your time. It enables you to undertake even the most difficult work: now you can produce drilled jobs and edge high base lenses.
- "Autofocus" Bevel
  A choice of four automatic bevels allows you to personalize and get the most out of the job, by taking into account all the characteristics of the lens and the shape of the frame in 4D.
- "Finesse" Safety-bevel
  With this option you are assured of surgical accuracy on internal and external faces of the lens, for any lens thickness.
- "High Definition" Drilling
  A totally new design concept allows the drilling unit to work at any angle from 0^o to 30^o with an accuracy of 0.1 mm: the lens fits the frame instantly. Work that you previously couldn't do is now within your reach, at lower cost and with better quality.
- "Synchronization" Grooving
  Angled grooves are positioned automatically, taking into account the curvature and the thickness of the lens.
- "Diamond" Polish
  Perfect transparency and sparkle complete the elegance of your eyewear. Your clients will appreciate the added value.
