- 5-D Tracing offers superior accuracy and fit.
Briot's exclusive 5-D tracing goes beyond traditional 3-D to measure five frame dimensions: size, shape, curvature, thickness and the frame bevel angle. This delivers the most aesthetically pleasing and accurate frame fit possible, for superior results.
- Accura makes tracing simple and almost error-proof.
Just drop the frame into the scanner and let go. Accura orients the frame automatically and traces without exerting pressure that can distort the measurements, a problem with tracers that require manual manipulation.
- Unusual frame shapes are no problem.
Accura records 1,028 points of data for each eye separately to ensure optimum fit.
- Start tracing a new job while the machine is edging.
You can begin tracing your next job while the previous job is in the edging chamber.
Scanning Specifications
- Automatic initialization and insertion of scanning stylus.
- Automatic reading in 5-D(Cx, Pro) or 3-D (Silver) of one or both eye shapes.
- Frame holding/clamping controlled electronically.
- Traces frames, patters, cut lenses or demo lenses.
- Maximum eye size for tracing: 20 mm rimless, 21 mm on bevel.
- Two selectable speeds for shape tracing.

- Accura's built-in blocker saves effort and space.
Other edgers require a separate blocker, which takes more lab space and processing time. Accura's built-in blocker makes edging more efficient.
- Blocking is easy with Briot's patented on-screen display.
The blocker displays an exact outline of the desired lens shape on Accura's color LCD screen. The lens blank is placed over the outline to verify cut-out before blocking and edging to avoid mistakes.
Blocking: Technical Specifications:
- Automatic on-screen 1-to-1 size verification for cut-out.
- Boxing center blocking with automatic parallax correction.
- Patented optical center blocking directly on screen.
- Horizontal decentrations by: box, mono PD or PD.
- Decentration entered via keypad; minimum step 0.25mm.
- Vertical decentrations by box pupil or optical center height.

- A high resolution color screen displays control buttons.
Simple-to-follow computer icons guide the operator easily through each processing step. Color codes differentiate the scanning, blocking and edging functions.
- Multi-tasking is easy with Accura's controls
You can scan your next job while the machine is edging. You can retrace either frame eye if desired. Accura's flexibility makes multi-tasking easy.

- Accura edges today's popular lenses with precision.
You can edge plastic, glass and polycarbonate, as well as high index, progressives and even AR coated lenses. Accura's patented lens clamping system automatically controls pressure on the lens during the edging process to prevent slippage and avoid cracking or crazing. You can save thousands of dollars on lab fees by edging today's high margin premium lenses in-house.
- Exclusive Auto Expert provides correct bevel placement automatically.
At the press of a button, Accura calculates frame and lens data programmed into the machine and executes the correct bevel placement. This saves operator time and effort with difficult jobs. Auto Expert is one of eight pre-set options.
- Accura is self-cleaning for easy maintenance.
The edging chamber flushes automatically during processing and every five minutes when idle, so Accura stays clean and debris free with any lens material.

- Safety Bevel front only, rear only, or front and rear, automatically.

-light safety bevel for thin lenses
-medium depth for average thickness
-heavier setting for thicker lenses

- Polishes all plastic, polycarbonate and high index lenses.
Accura saves as much as ten minutes per job by polishing the lens automatically in the edging chamber. There's no need to remove the lens and place it in a separate polisher. Less handling means fewer chances for scratches and mishaps to occur.
